The Faraday ELPL Team writes a broad portfolio of binder insurance business for SME’s, predominantly in the UK and Ireland.
The portfolio comprises public, products and employers’ liability and material damage. We subscribe to the view that a larger volume of smaller premium business is preferable to smaller numbers of larger, more volatile risks. Essentially, we are open to any trade or occupation of business where we can apply our selective underwriting approaches, with a high level of trust and verify routines.
Our business is sourced through a carefully selected panel of MGAs and Coverholders with whom we build long-term partnerships, where personal contact and communications are fundamental elements of our working practice. By handling all claims in-house, we also give our partners direct access to the support and experience of our integrated claims team.
Underwriting strengths
Our professionally qualified underwriters have considerable experience of operating binding authority agreements. Their superior expertise and longevity in the ELPL market makes Faraday the ideal capacity provider for binder facilities, offering security and continuity for our business partners.
We regard ourselves as hands-on underwriters, seeking practical resolution through dialogue and mutual understanding, and making frequent visits in order to maintain and develop working relationships for the long term. We keep on top of changes in the legal and regulatory landscape and consider it part of our service to update our partners regularly on new or expected developments.
The team benefits from strong wordings, loss modelling and actuarial support.
